Do you want to contribute to the improvement of employment opportunities for migrant women?

Then we are happy to invite you to join a new European initiative, where professionals from both the public, private and voluntary sector provide good advice for the promotion of migrant women’s employability.

The idea is that local resource persons across the public, private and voluntary sectors provide knowledge, advice and preferably concrete offers that can support the women's progression and qualification opportunities, for example through the establishment of short internships, health surveys, knowledge about childcare options, home care for sick parents, etc. The participation in this new council takes place on a voluntary basis.

To join us, please reach out to the contact person of the project in your country or fill in the contact us form https://nameproject.eu/partners/

Empowering Migrant Women and Enhancing their integration
into the labour market

Migrant women are an integral part of our modern societies: enhancing their values, skills and backgrounds is crucial.  The transnational report was designed to respond to the need for clarity and more information about the migrant women’s conditions and how they can contribute to our multicultural societies.

NAME project was born from a partnership composed by six organisations from Denmark, Lithuania, Italy, Spain, and Cyprus. We work together to reach our common goals in synergy with immigrant women who want to create their own independent life and with professionals and employers who wish to discover more on the great opportunities to be opened to new cultures.

NAME focuses on enhancing opportunities for employment, self-support and a safe and independent everyday life for immigrant women and at the same time, improving awareness of the specific needs of unemployed immigrant women.

Aim

We believe that improving living and working conditions of migrant women is possible by fostering cooperation and exchanging experiences and good practices in the field of migrant women entrepreneurship and employability. The report offers a comprehensive data collection and knowledge around the educational profiles, employment and living conditions of long-term unemployed immigrant women in Europe.

Target Group

The key players of NAME are immigrant women, political decision-makers, vocational and other educational institutions as well as employers who want to give new opportunities for employment, self-support and a safe and independent everyday life to migrant women.
