Le sessioni combinano diverse componenti: una spiegazione, una discussione e degli esercizi. Ogni sessione era aperta da una spiegazione al fine di dare alle partecipanti una panoramica dei temi presi in esame nel corso della giornata. Sono stati loro presentati gli obiettivi di apprendimento del modulo affinch\u00e9 sapessero su cosa concentrare la loro attenzione e a cosa servissero le informazioni.<\/p>\n
Le presentazioni erano caratterizzate da poco testo e molte immagini. Per questa ragione sono state apportate delle modifiche alle diapositive iniziali. Dal momento che le partecipanti non parlavano bene il danese, si \u00e8 scelto di ricorrere a diapositive con immagini accompagnate da didascalie allo scopo di aiutarle ad arricchire il loro lessico.<\/p>\n
Le discussioni sono state stimolate dall\u2019insegnante che ha posto domande di ordine generale come: Con quale frequenza ti servi delle tue competenze digitali? Quali applicazioni hai bisogno? Come ci si candida a ottenere un lavoro online? Lo scopo di queste discussioni era quello di:<\/p>\n
In questo modo le partecipanti hanno anche avuto la possibilit\u00e0 di riflettere sulle applicazioni che tali aspetti potevano avere nelle loro vite. Si pensi ad attivit\u00e0 come compilare una domanda di candidatura avvalendosi dell\u2019aiuto di un\u2019insegnante (consulenti di orientamento o insegnanti del comune). Nel corso del modulo le partecipanti hanno svolto 10 minuti di esercizio a sessione servendosi di video su YouTube. esercizio. Questo ha portato a una discussione sui pro e contro dei social media che, da una parte, consentono di rimanere in contatto con amici e familiari lontani, pianificare e trovare eventi interessanti, informarsi su quello che le persone che amiamo stanno facendo. Dall\u2019altra, possono causare dipendenza, portarci a pensare che stiamo perdendo dei momenti importanti, ci fanno perdere tempo e rimpiazzare la vita sociale con interazioni virtuali. Queste discussioni hanno incontrato l\u2019interesse delle partecipanti e hanno permesso loro di riflettere sulle proprie abitudini.<\/p>\n La classe ha poi preso in esame il tema degli annunci di lavoro online, in particolare di lavori che le partecipanti vorrebbero candidarsi a svolgere. Ogni partecipante \u00e8 stata aiutata a compilare la propria domanda servendosi dei computer della scuola, molte di loro non avevano alcuna dimestichezza con questo strumento dal momento che si sono sempre servite del cellulare e non sapevano come utilizzare la tastiera. Di conseguenza il ritmo della sessione \u00e8 stato estremamente rallentato e si \u00e8 dovuto ricorrere all\u2019intervento di altre persone che aiutassero le partecipanti a servirsi dei computer. These exercises were good for this group of participants, as many of them were dealing with challenges related to injuries or illness. The learning goals were:<\/p>\n The module opened with a conversation on how the participant use their phones and for what \u2013 which apps did they have, what did they use them for, tips on practical apps? This led to a conversation on the pros and cons of social media \u2013 on the one hand, social media allows us to be connected with friends and family far away, to easily plan and find interesting events, and to know what our loved ones are getting up to. On the other hand, it may cause us to become addicted, give us fear of missing out, be a time sink and replace real life social interaction. These conversations were relatable to the participants and allowed them to consider how their social media habits might be good or bad for them.<\/p>\n The class looked at real job postings online, for jobs that would be similar to the kinds of jobs that they themselves might want to apply for. Participants were supported 1:1 to write their own job application. They were given the opportunity to use the computers at the school \u2013 many of them were completely unfamiliar with computers, having only used phones, and did not know how to use a keyboard. This caused the pacing to turn dramatically slower and required the assistance of additional staff to help the participants navigate using a computer. E.g. some participants didn\u2019t even know the \u201cspace-button\u201d and how to write numbers (e.g. age).<\/p>\n The participants are downloading Google Drive on their phones.
